My name is Antoinette O’Shea and I live in Co. Kerry. I hold a B.A. (hons) Degree in Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling from the highly regarded MUT course.
In my practice I believe the most important aspect of therapy is the relationship between client and therapist. Therefore I strive to offer congruence, kindness, acceptance, warmth, non-judgement, empathy and trust. With these qualities, the relationship with the therapist becomes a corrective experience for the client.
As an integrative therapist I draw upon varied frameworks some of which include:
Gestalt therapy, Cognitive Behavorial Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Mindfulness and breathwork, Transactional Analysis (T.A), NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM)
I work with a vast range of issues i.e. depression, anxiety, loss/bereavement, abuse, violence, anger management, relationship/family/work issues, psychosexual issues, addiction, panic attacks, and fertility.
